Now That's What I'm Talkin' About!!!

Yes, Friday afternoon and lunch at Blocks (tuna on rye - 1 paw), doting passerbys (2 paws), and then a quick stop at the dog park on the way home (1-1/2 paws).  Would have been 2 paws but when a big towering four-legged "Jaws" comes after you, never good!  Humpf!  So I walk away and he/she gets scolded - serves 'em right! Ah man, do I have to get a bath when I get home?!  Ok, not exactly my idea of how to close out the afternoon, but definitely cooled off.


Tidbit for the Day - Make sure to stay cool when a four-legged "Jaws" comes at you, that way you get lots of praise and hugs while "Jaws" gets in big trouble (and in public besides - even more embarrassing!)

Isn't it the Weekend Yet??

Ok, I know it's Thursday night, but geez it's taking a long time for the weekend to get here!  I mean really - there are pet trails to hike, field trips to the pet store and sleeping in late!!!


Tidbit for the Day - Always be prepared for the trip to the pet store.  You never know what great tasting goodies you'll find, as well as new friends.  Me personally, I love barking at the mice, hamsters and those fuzzy pig things.

Just a quick note

seems my assistant is rather tired this evening - worked late last night and then up early for more of the same.  So, other than getting lots of cuddle time this evening, grooming and a nice long walk, it's rest and beauty sleep.


Tidbit for the Day - Never turn down being groomed since lots of hugs and kisses are always part of the deal!

Wishing for Vacation!

My last real travel adventure - Tennessee - here I am visiting the Grand Ole Opry House (or more like the outside of it)

 and also checked out the Gibson store (the cool floor, now that was pretty awesome, the other stuff so-so.)

My favorite though, the cabin in the Smoky Mountains - sitting outside listening to the stream.  Yep life doesn't get much better except for the hikes in the mountains during the day.

So, I'm ready to head out for my next travel adventure...if only I can convince my assistant that it's time!!!

Ah, Sunday!

Nothing like kickin' back, relaxin' and just being lazy!!!!  Not quite sure what the cats see in stretching out on the arm rest, but I'm willing to give it a try.  Ok, so where's the popcorn and dog biscuits? What movie are we watching - Toy Story, Bug's Life?  Hey I know, how about Shaggy Dog? That Tim Allen guy did a pretty good job being a dog, I mean, you know especially for being a human!  ; )


Tidbit for the Day - Always make sure you have all the snacks ready ahead of time - that way you don't have to "paws" the movie.  (Sorry, couldn't resist a little canine humor.)

Miss Me???

I tell ya, just get going on my blog and then my assistant had the nerve to go back to her regular job!  I tried to explain how important these daily travels and tidbits are to my readers out there.  The reply - if I wanted to be able to continue to eat the good stuff, enjoy my comfy bed and get to enjoy long distance adventures then she needed to make sure we had enough of that "green paper" to do it.  Wonder why it has to be green paper?  I mean we have lots of black and white paper - wouldn't that work?  Oh well.


Tidbit for the Day - Make sure to save your energy until your humans come home.  That way you'll be ready to take them for a nice long walk!  ; )

Ah, Can You Say Hungry??!!

So after all these adventures to date, one works up quite an appetite! Ok, so I don't really get to eat at the table, but still - is it too much to ask that my meals be ready when my tummy is?? Oh, and don't forget the appetizer of matzo and brie. The brie makes all the difference - otherwise it would just be this really blah flat thing.

A Hiking We Will Go....

and what we'll find, no one knows. The last time we hit the trail, I did find a pheasant, but so far today the only thing I've found is this cool stream, and just in time....starting to get pretty thirsty.

Yep, me and wild life are pretty close - not only did I flush out Big Bird (ok, maybe it wasn't that big), but still I've also spotted deer, squirrels, chipmunks, butterflies and camels. Really, no joke - camels too! So take it from Canine Explorer "T" always keep your eyes peeled, ears perked and nose working!

Tidbit for the Day - No matter how skilled an explorer you are, make sure your cell phone works. How else are you going to get pizza delivered while hiking??

Hhhmmmm,..

Ok, so my new home comes complete with siblings - cats. Same size as me, seem friendly enough except for one - I think the really, really furry one is broken. It leaks. Each time I walk past it, it makes this funny hissing sound. Strange.

Anyway, after all the excitement of settling into my new home, it was time for a well-deserved nap. Comfy pillow, soft cushions....yep, this is definitely more like it! ZZzzzzzzz

Good-Bye Humane Society, Hello New Home!

As I told my other cubie mates, it's all in the presentation. Really - having one of these glass-case shredded paper-lined ones makes it all the better to show off just how totally awesome and cute and irresistible you are! I mean really, how can anyone resist those "puppy eyes" and that button nose? And so, sure enough after only being at the Humane Society just under two weeks, I picked out my new humans. That's right - I picked them out. I know you're thinking it's the other way around. Well, let's just say us canines "know" better.

So the BIG day comes when I get to go "home" and guess what???? Winter decides to blanket the entire city with lots (and I mean LOTS) of snow. Well, at least it was easy to tell our walk in the neighborhood was productive ; )

On a side note - as for my true astrological sign, I'm not really sure - we just use the date I came home as my birthday. Hey, it works for me!

Welcome to Teddy's Travels & Tidbits!

Yep, finally cracked into the computer to create my blog - couldn't figure out how to add more to my first post I saved so starting over. Don't believe that "Edit Posts" tab, wouldn't work for me. Anyway, this first picture you see....yes, that's me. This is what I looked like after the Humane Society spent an hour grooming me - hey, I think the rugged look could work. But little did I know that this look would soon change.
